Contramutan tablets is a homeopathic medicine for colds. It is used for the treatment of febrile flu-like infections with inflammation of the upper respiratory tract. The tablets contain the active ingredients Echinacea angustifolia, Aconitum napellus, Atropa belladonna and Eupatorium perfoliatum. The dosage depends on the age and weight of the patient. Children aged 6 to 12 years should take 1 tablet every half to full hour for a maximum of 6 times a day. Adolescents aged 13 and over and adults can take 1 tablet every half to full hour up to 12 times a day. The tablets should be sucked and the duration of use depends on the therapeutic need and the duration of the disease. Use of Contramutan Tablets without medical advice should not exceed 2 weeks. Contramutan Tablets are contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to one of the active or excipient substances or to composite flowers and in children under 2 years of age. During pregnancy and breast-feeding, the medicinal product should only be used after consultation with a doctor. If side effects or changes occur during treatment, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted.
