Contramutan tablets is a homeopathic medicine for the treatment of colds. The indications are derived from the homeopathic remedy pictures, these include febrile flu-like infections with inflammation of the upper airways. The tablets should be sucked and the dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist. The duration of use depends on the therapeutic need, but Contramutan Tablets with Echinacea should not be used for longer than 2 weeks without medical advice. The tablets contain lactose and should therefore be used with caution in cases of lactose intolerance. Use is contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to one of the active or excipient substances or to composite flowers and in children under 2 years of age. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor as there is insufficient documented experience on the use. Side effects such as skin rash, itching, swelling of the face, shortness of breath, dizziness and drop in blood pressure may occur.
