Contramutan® tablets

Contramutan® tablets are a homeopathic anti-infective that is used for typical symptoms of a cold or flu-like infection.These include, among other things, headaches, body aches, sore throats and fever.Due to their good tolerability, the tablets are also suitable for children aged six and over.The areas of application are derived from the homeopathic medicines and include febrile flu-like infections with inflammation of the upper respiratory tract.

Contramutan® tablets are particularly practical for on the go as they can be taken without water.The tablets should be dissolved in the mouth, ideally under the tongue.The active ingredients are absorbed particularly well by the oral mucosa.The tablets contain Indian water (Eupatorium perfoliatum) and three other ingredients from medicinal plants.

One tablet of Contramutan® tablets contains the following active ingredients: 50 milligrams of Echinacea angustifolia, 0.015 milligrams of Aconitum napellus, 0.015 milligrams of Atropa belladonna and 0.05 milligrams of Eupatorium perfoliatum.Other ingredients include magnesium stearate, corn starch and lactose-1-water.

Area of application

Contramutan® tablets are used for colds.The areas of application are derived from the homeopathic medicines and include feverish and flu-like infections with inflammation of the upper respiratory tract.

Contraindications

The product should not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned or to composite plants or in children under two years of age.

Dosage

For acute conditions, children aged six to twelve years (weighing around 20 to 43 kilograms) can take one tablet every half to an hour, but no more than six times a day.The maximum daily dose is six tablets.Adolescents aged 13 and over and adults can take one tablet every half to an hour, but no more than twelve times a day.The maximum daily dose is twelve tablets.

When symptoms subside (subacute stage), the dosage is reduced to one tablet one to three times a day in adolescents and adults.

Intake

The tablets should be sucked so that the active ingredients can be absorbed particularly well by the oral mucosa.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the product.Particular caution is required if symptoms persist for a long time, shortness of breath, fever that lasts longer than three days or rises above 39 degrees Celsius, or if there is purulent or bloody sputum.In these cases, a doctor should be consulted.

Since there is insufficient documented experience, the drug should not be used in children aged two to six years.

No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive and use machines.

Pregnancy

Since there is no adequately documented experience with use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, the medicine should only be used during this time after consulting a doctor.
