Allergo-Vision® sine

Allergo-Vision® sine are unpreserved anti-allergic eye drops that are used for hay fever.The active ingredient ketotifen works within minutes and is also suitable for children aged 3 and over and while breastfeeding.No prescription is required for this product.

Area of application

The eye drops are used to treat seasonal allergic conjunctivitis.This manifests itself as itchy, watery, red or swollen eyes and/or eyelids.

The eye drops contain 0.138 mg ketotifen fumarate, which is equivalent to 0.1 mg ketotifen.Glycerol, sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment and water for injection purposes are also included as excipients.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be used if you are allergic to ketotifen fumarate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults, the elderly and children aged 3 years and over is one drop in the affected eye or eyes twice daily, morning and evening.The contents of a single-dose container are sufficient to administer one drop in both eyes.

If you have used a larger amount than intended, there is no danger.If you accidentally ingest or overdose, ask your doctor for advice.

If you forget to use it, do so as soon as possible and then go back to the regular dosing schedule.Do not use a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Intake

Wash your hands before use.Open the single-dose container and be careful not to touch the tip.Tilt your head back and pull your lower eyelid down with your finger.Hold the single-dose container in your other hand and press gently to release a drop into the eye.Close your eye and press your fingertip against the inner corner of your eye for 1 to 2 minutes to prevent the drop from draining away.If necessary, repeat the process for the other eye and discard the single-dose container after use.

Patient information

The eye drops may cause blurred vision, drowsiness or dizziness.If you experience blurred vision or drowsiness after use, you should wait until these symptoms disappear before driving or using machines.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.The medicine is allowed to be used during breastfeeding.

Application

Adults, the elderly and children aged 3 years and over should instill one drop into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye or eyes twice daily.If Allergo-Vision® sine is used together with other ophthalmic medicines, there should be an interval of at least 5 minutes between applications.
