diarrhœsan® juice is a traditional herbal medicine for the supportive treatment of mild acute (non-specific) diarrheal diseases.The medicine is a traditional medicine that is registered for the area of application solely based on long-term use.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

100 g of liquid contains 3.2 g of apple pectin and 2.5 g of fluid extract from chamomile flowers (1:0.9 - 1.1), extractant ethanol 55% (V/V).Other ingredients include sodium benzoate, saccharin sodium, banana flavor, purified water and aspartame.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to any of the active ingredients, daisy plants (aster family) or any of the other ingredients.It is not intended for use in newborns and infants.

Dosage

10 ml corresponds to 0.33 ml pectin from apples and 0.33 ml fluid extract from chamomile flowers.Always take the juice exactly according to these instructions.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:

Children aged 2 - 3 years: initial dosage 10 ml, then 5 ml every hour, maximum daily dose 60 ml.

Children aged 4 - 5 years: initial dosage 20 ml, then 10 ml every hour, maximum daily dose 80 ml.

Children from 6 years and adults: initial dosage 30 ml, then 15 ml every hour, maximum daily dose 120 ml.

It is not intended for use in children under 2 years of age.Its use in children under one year of age is not recommended as there is insufficient data and a doctor should be consulted at this age for the treatment of such a condition.

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

The juice should only be discontinued when a formed stool is observed.If symptoms of illness persist for more than two days, you should consult a doctor or another person working in a medical profession.

No symptoms of poisoning are to be expected from the herbal components in the medicine.However, if you experience any symptoms, you should inform your doctor.

If an application is forgotten, skip it without replacement and administer the prescribed amount again next time.

To date, there are no reports of adverse effects from interruption or premature discontinuation of therapy with the drug.
