Mode of action

The soft-melting suppositories of Vagisan FeuchtCreme Cremolum supply the dry vagina with lipids.The warmth of the vagina causes the suppositories to melt and, together with the vaginal fluid, form a cream that nourishes and softens the inside of the vagina.This relieves symptoms such as dryness, burning, itching or vaginal pain.

The ingredients of Vagisan FeuchtCreme Cremolum are: Calcium Lactate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Lactic Acid, PEG-20 Glyceryl Stearate, Sodium Carbomer.The suppositories do not contain any hormones and are free of fragrances and preservatives.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.

Dosage

The vaginal suppositories are inserted into the vagina, preferably before going to bed.To remove a suppository from the foil, first separate a suppository at the perforation and tear the foil from top to bottom.The application depends on the individual complaints.Daily use is recommended at the beginning, after improvement the frequency can be reduced (e.g. 2-3 times per week).Wearing a panty liner is recommended during use.Vagisan FeuchtCreme Cremolum can also be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

No prescription is required for this product.The suppositories take around 20-30 minutes to melt in the vagina and should therefore not be used immediately before sexual intercourse.They do not contain any spermicidal agent and therefore do not protect against unwanted pregnancy.The tensile strength of condoms or pessaries used concurrently has not been studied and may be affected.If you want to have children, it is not recommended to use it before sexual intercourse.

The suppositories are free of hormones and can therefore also be used together with systemic hormone replacement therapy or alternately with vaginal creams or suppositories containing hormones.They are free of fragrances and preservatives and can be used in addition to lubricants or other intimate creams, but should not be used immediately before sexual intercourse.

The suppositories must be kept out of the reach of children and not stored above 25°C.The expiry date is printed on the packaging and refers to the last day of the specified month.Do not use the product after this date.
