Myrtol is a herbal medicinal product for loosening mucus and facilitating expectoration in acute and chronic bronchitis and for loosening mucus in inflammation of the sinuses. It can be used in adults, adolescents and children from 6 years of age. Myrtol contains a special distillate made from a mixture of rectified eucalyptus oil, sweet orange oil, myrtle oil and lemon oil. It activates the natural self-cleansing powers of the respiratory tract and loosens mucus. The recommended dosage varies according to age and clinical picture. Myrtol can be taken 3-5 times a day for acute complaints and 2-4 times a day for chronic complaints. Side effects such as stomach or upper abdominal pain may occur. Myrtol should not be taken if you have an allergy to the oils it contains or other ingredients of the medicine. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor or pharmacist before taking it. Myrtol is manufactured by G. Pohl-Boskamp GmbH & Co KG and is available in various pack sizes.
