Ginkgovital Heumann 120 mg film-coated tablets contain ginkgo biloba leaves dry extract and are used to improve age-related cognitive impairment and quality of life in mild dementia. The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to ginkgo biloba extract or any of the other ingredients, and during pregnancy. In case of certain health conditions such as increased bleeding tendency or a seizure disorder, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted before taking the medicine. The recommended dose for adults is one tablet twice daily. The medicine should be used for at least 8 weeks. The most common side effects are headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, bleeding from individual organs, hypersensitivity reactions and allergic skin reactions. The medicinal product should not be used in children and adolescents. It should be protected from children and stored at temperatures below 30 °C. The exact composition of the medicinal product is given in the package leaflet. A maximum of 15 packs of the medicinal product may be purchased within one quarter to ensure the safety of the medicinal product.
