The Octenisan Wash Lotion + Nose Gel Set is a practical combination for preoperative decontamination.It consists of the octenisan® washing lotion and the octenisan® md nasal gel.This set is ideal for use up to 5 days before surgery.It provides comprehensive patient information for safe use and helps increase patient trust and compliance.

Area of application

The octenisan® washing lotion is used for whole body washing, including hair washing, for example for multi-resistant pathogens (MRE).It contains selected care substances and mild surfactants that are suitable for all skin types.The washing lotion can also be used for those with soap hypersensitivity or allergy-sensitive skin.Thanks to its skin-neutral pH value, it is particularly gentle.The product is dye and fragrance free.

The octenisan® md nasal gel is suitable for decontaminating the nasal vestibules through physical cleaning.It can be used to support irritated skin below the nostrils and to moisten it.

The Octenisan set washing lotion + nose gel contains the following ingredients:

Composition of octenisan® washing lotion: Aqua, Cocamidopropylamine Oxide, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Lactic Acid, Octenidine HCl, Allantoin.

Composition of octenisan® md nasal gel: Purified water, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Octenidine HCI.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

Recommended use of Octenisan Set Washing Lotion + Nasal Gel: The set can be given to patients before the operation or recommended for private purchase in the pharmacy.The octenisan® washing lotion and the octenisan® md nasal gel should be used up to 5 days before the operation.

Octenisan® washing lotion (once a day for up to 5 days): completely moisturize hair and body.Apply the washing lotion undiluted to a damp, fresh washcloth.Apply the washing lotion evenly to the entire body, paying particular attention to the armpits.Please note a contact time of 1 minute.Wash thoroughly and dry with a fresh towel.Put on fresh clothes every time.Not suitable for children under 3 years.

Octenisan® md nasal gel (twice daily for up to 5 days): Apply sufficient nasal gel to a cotton pad.Apply the gel to the surfaces of the nasal vestibules and spread it by squeezing the sides of the nostrils.Remove excess gel.The gel must not be placed too deep into the nose.Not suitable for children under 1 year old.

Notes

Do not use octenisan® washing lotion and octenisan® md nasal gel if you are known to be hypersensitive to one or more ingredients.The products are intended for external use only.Do not use in combination with PVP-iodine as this may cause discoloration and reduce the antiseptic effect of the PVP-iodine.Only use perfect and undamaged containers.

Octenisan® washing lotion: Care products can be used after the product has dried.

Octenisan® md nasal gel: Store the nasal gel at 5° - 25°C and protect it from frost, heat and sunlight.
