OMNi-LOGiC® apple pectin capsules are a dietary supplement that contains valuable fiber for intestinal bacteria.The capsules are vegan, free of animal protein, gluten and yeast and therefore suitable for diabetics, children as well as during pregnancy and breastfeeding.No prescription is required for this product.

What is apple pectin useful for?

Apple pectin serves as an optimal food source for the bacterial group Bacteroidetes.These bacteria help excrete sugar from the body.If there is a sufficient supply of apple pectin, the Bacteroidetes bacteria multiply and establish themselves sustainably in the body.

Intestinal bacteria and their function

Our intestinal bacteria have numerous tasks, including food utilization.They can be divided into two large groups: Bacteroidetes and Firmicutes.In a healthy intestinal flora, these groups are present in an optimal ratio of 1:1.

In overweight people, the intestinal flora is often out of balance and the Firmicutes group of bacteria predominates.The ratio can be shifted up to 2000:1, meaning that the gut contains 2000 times more Firmicutes than Bacteroidetes.

Firmicutes can break down food components that are actually indigestible for humans, such as fiber and complex carbohydrates.This creates many easily digestible carbohydrates in the intestines, which are absorbed in addition to the calories eaten.This additional intake can amount to 200 calories daily.

The shift in the bacterial ratios towards the Firmicutes can take on a life of its own: the more carbohydrates (e.g. sugar, pasta) are eaten, the more comfortable the Firmicutes feel and the better they can multiply in the intestine.

Dosage
