Amofin 5% nail varnish is a medicine for the treatment of fungal diseases on the nail surface. The active substance amorolfine fights various fungi that cause nail diseases. It is applied once a week to the affected nails. First, the nails are filed down and cleaned, then the nail polish is applied with a spatula and then dried. The treatment period is usually six months for fingernails and nine to twelve months for toenails. Amofin nail varnish forms a depot of active substances in the nail, which prevents the fungal infection from progressing and allows the nail to grow back healthily. The medicine must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to amorolfine or any of the other ingredients. During pregnancy, medical advice should be sought before use.
