Instructions for use of the article Comfeel Plus Flexible Hydrocolloid Dressing 10x10 cm: - Comfeel Plus Flexible Hydrocolloid Dressing is suitable for a wide range of wounds, including chronic wounds such as leg ulcers and pressure ulcers, as well as acute wounds such as superficial burns, second-degree burns, skin breakdown sites, post-operative wounds and skin abrasions. - It can also be used for local or systemic infection. - The dressing can remain on the wound for up to 7 days, depending on the amount of wound secretion, the condition of the dressing and the type of wound. - The product consists of a water and bacteria repellent semi-permeable protective film, a grid for wound sizing, a self-adherent hydrocolloid matrix, a transparent protective film and turquoise protective flaps. - The dressing reduces odour coming from the wound and is sterilised by irradiation. - A doctor or nurse should be consulted if allergic reactions or side effects are suspected. - It is recommended that diabetic wounds, infected wounds and wounds caused by arterial insufficiency be regularly checked by a doctor or specialist. - The use of cleansing agents other than physiological saline, Ringer's solution or sterile water with the product has not been studied. - The dressing should not be used if the packaging is damaged and should be stored away from direct sunlight and at room temperature. - Reuse of the disposable product may endanger the health of the patient. The product characteristics are affected by reprocessing, cleaning, disinfection or sterilisation. - For application, the wound should be cleaned according to the applicable guidelines and the wound edge allowed to dry. The dressing should overlap the wound edges by at least 1 to 2 centimetres and be applied aseptically with the turquoise protective flaps. - The dressing should be changed when it absorbs wound exudate and forms a whitish gel, when a gel blister approaches the edge of the dressing or after 7 days. - To remove the dressing, the corners should be gently lifted away from the wound.
