Doppelherz Ginkgo 240 mg is a herbal medicinal product for improving age-related cognitive impairment and quality of life in mild dementia. It contains a dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves. The medicine is taken in the form of film-coated tablets. Adults should take half a tablet daily in the morning and evening. It can be taken independently of meals. The duration of treatment should be at least 8 weeks. Possible side effects include headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, bleeding in various organs and allergic skin reactions. The medicine should not be used if you are allergic to Ginkgo biloba dry extract, during pregnancy and if you have an increased tendency to bleed. It contains lactose and glucose. An overdose can lead to gastrointestinal complaints, headaches and allergic skin reactions. If a dose is missed, the next dose should be taken at the usual time. There are no known cases of overdose. The medicinal product should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Storage should be below 30°C and the medicine should be kept out of reach of children. It is available in packs of 30 and 120 film-coated tablets. The package leaflet should be read before use. If an overdose is suspected, a doctor should be contacted.
