No prescription is required for this product.veno-biomo retard is a herbal medicine that is used to treat symptoms of diseases of the leg veins.It helps with symptoms such as swollen legs, varicose veins, feeling of heaviness and tension, pain, itching, fatigue in the legs and leg cramps caused by chronic venous insufficiency.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each extended-release tablet contains 178.5 to 263.2 mg of dry extract of horse chestnut seeds, corresponding to 21 mg of triterpene glycosides, calculated as protoaescigenin.The extract is prepared with ethanol 50% (m/m).In addition, the preparation contains various excipients such as calcium hydrogen phosphate, crospovidone, dimeticone, highly disperse silicon dioxide, sorbic acid, macrogol stearyl ether-5, macrogol 4000, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, ammonium methacrylate copolymers, sodium hydroxide, polysorbate 80, povidone, saccharin sodium, talc, triethyl citrate, vanillin, titanium dioxide,Iron(III) oxide and iron(III) hydroxide oxide.

Application and dosage

veno-biomo retard is taken orally.The extended-release tablets should be taken whole with a little liquid in the morning and evening before meals.The usual dosage is 1 prolonged-release tablet twice a day.No dosage adjustment is necessary in patients with impaired renal function.There are no sufficient data to recommend dosage for patients with impaired liver function.It is not intended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Initial treatment success may only occur after a treatment period of 4 weeks.Long-term treatment is possible after consulting a doctor.

Contraindications and precautions

veno-biomo retard must not be taken by patients with known hypersensitivity to horse chestnut seeds or any of the other ingredients.Particular caution is required in the event of inflammation of the skin, superficial phlebitis, hardening of the subcutaneous tissue, severe pain, skin ulcers, sudden swelling of one or both legs, and functional impairment of the heart or kidneys.In such cases, a doctor should be consulted.

Taking veno-biomo retard does not replace other preventive measures or treatment measures such as cold water or wearing medically prescribed support stockings.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

The safety of veno-biomo retard during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been studied.Due to insufficient data, use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.

Side effects

Like all medicines, veno-biomo retard can have side effects.Possible side effects include gastrointestinal discomfort, headache, dizziness, itching and allergic reactions.The frequency of these side effects is not known.If side effects persist, a doctor should be consulted.

Storage

veno-biomo retard should be kept out of the reach of children.The medicine should not be stored above 25°C and should not be used after the expiry date.
