Gingobeta 120 mg film-coated tablets are a herbal medicinal product used to improve age-related cognitive impairment and quality of life in mild dementia. It contains a dry extract from the leaves of the ginkgo tree. The extract improves blood circulation, provides more oxygen and strengthens the nerve cells. The recommended dose for adults is 1 film-coated tablet twice a day, in the morning and evening. The treatment should last at least 8 weeks. Side effects may include headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, lower abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. The medicine must not be taken during pregnancy and people who are allergic to ginkgo biloba extract or certain sugars should not take it.
