Instructions for use of the article Boston Cleaner Lens Cleaner: Boston Advance Comfort Formula Lens Cleaner from Bausch & Lomb is specially formulated for cleaning fluorosilicone acrylate and silicone acrylate contact lenses before storage. This lens cleaner removes tear film deposits, stubborn surface deposits such as proteins and lipids, and residue from contact lenses. Boston Advance Lens Cleaner contains an aqueous suspension solution with surface active agents and a mild abrasive. Ingredients include alkyl ethyl sulphate (9.8%), ethoxylated alkyl phenols, sodium chloride, silicon dioxide suspension, sodium monohydrogen phosphate and modified coconut oil phospholipid. People who have allergic reactions to these ingredients should not use this solution. Boston Advance lens cleaner is used in five steps: Hands should be washed thoroughly before handling the contact lenses. The contact lenses are then gently rubbed on both sides with 6-8 drops of the lens cleaner in the palm of the hand for 20 seconds. The lens cleaner is then thoroughly removed according to the recommendations of the contact lens specialist. The contact lenses are placed in the storage case and covered with fresh storage solution. After each use, the bottle should be carefully closed. To ensure thorough contact lens hygiene, some safety precautions should be followed. Boston Advance contact lens cleaner should never be used to wet or store the contact lenses. After cleaning, the contact lenses should be rinsed thoroughly as recommended by a contact lens specialist. The solution should not be reused and the dropper tip should not be touched with objects or the hands to avoid contamination. The storage case should be thoroughly cleaned regularly and the storage solution removed after the contact lenses have been removed. The solution should be used before the expiry date on the package. It is recommended that thorough hygiene and handling instructions are followed to avoid contamination and eye infections. Boston Advance lens cleaner must not be used directly on the eye. If the lens cleaner gets into the eye, the contact lenses should be removed and the eyes rinsed thoroughly with running water or as recommended by a contact lens specialist. In case of intolerance such as heavy tearing, impaired vision or redness of the eyes, the contact lenses should be removed immediately and a contact lens specialist consulted. The product should be kept out of the reach of children. The Boston Advance lens cleaner is available in a sterile 30 ml bottle, which is labelled with a lot number and expiry date.
