Directions for use of the article Pinimenthol Erkältungsbad: This medicinal product is used as a supportive treatment for colds. It is a traditional herbal medicinal product registered exclusively on the basis of many years of use. Pinimenthol Cold Bath contains eucalyptus oil, camphor and levomenthol as active ingredients. It is used in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over. The leaflet should be read carefully as it contains important information. If you have any further questions or if the symptoms worsen, you should consult a doctor. Pinimenthol Cold Bath must not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients, bronchial asthma, whooping cough, major skin injuries, acute skin diseases and rashes, severe febrile and infectious diseases, cardiac insufficiency, high blood pressure, during pregnancy and breast-feeding and in infants, toddlers and children up to 12 years of age. Precautions should be observed as bath concentrates with camphor may irritate the mucous membranes. Interactions with other medicines are not known. The use of Pinimenthol Cold Bath during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended. The medicine is used as a full bath and the dosage should be taken exactly according to the package leaflet. No more than 30 ml per full bath (100 litres) should be used. The bath time is 10-20 minutes at a temperature of 35-38°C. Pinimenthol Cold Bath should not be used for longer than 1 week, unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor. Accidental ingestion may cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea, so a doctor should be consulted. Possible side effects may include hypersensitivity reactions of the skin and irritation of the cough. If side effects occur, a doctor should also be consulted. The medicine should be stored at room temperature and kept away from children.
