Isopropanol 70 Biocide / GMP 70% is a biocidal product that should be used with care. It contains isopropyl alcohol at a concentration of 70% v/v. It is suitable for both hygienic hand disinfection and surface disinfection. For hygienic hand disinfection, at least 3 ml of solution should be applied to dry hands for 60 seconds using standard rub-in procedures according to EN 1500, without rinsing. The product is effective against bacteria, yeast fungi and enveloped viruses. For surface disinfection, the compatibility of the product with the surface to be treated should be tested. After application, it should be allowed to act for 5 minutes, completely wetting the surface. After application, it is recommended to ventilate well. The product is also effective against bacteria, yeasts and enveloped viruses, but is not sporocidal. It should not be used for instrument disinfection. It should be stored tightly closed and protected from light and heat. It is highly flammable and may cause severe eye irritation as well as drowsiness and dizziness. When used as a hand disinfectant, it should be applied to dry hands for at least 30 seconds and not rinsed off, according to EN 1500. When disinfecting surfaces, the product should also be tested for compatibility with the surface and the surface should be wetted completely for 5 minutes after application. It is recommended to ventilate well and to wear protective gloves if used frequently. It should be kept away from children and away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other sources of ignition. In case of contact with eyes, they should be rinsed with water for several minutes and any contact lenses removed. The contents should be disposed of through an approved waste disposal company or a municipal collection point.
