Isopropanol 70 biocide / GMP contains 63.1 grams of isopropyl alcohol per 100 grams. It is a biocidal product and an active pharmaceutical ingredient.

General information

Isopropanol 70 biocide / GMP is a dangerous mixture according to VO (EC) 1272/2008.The CAS-number for isopropyl alcohol is 67-63-0.

Application instructions

For hygienic hand disinfection, at least 3 milliliters of the solution should be massaged into previously washed, uninjured and dry hands using the standard rubbing method according to EN 1500 for 60 seconds without rinsing afterwards.This product works effectively against bacteria, yeast fungi and enveloped viruses.

As a surface disinfectant, the product compatibility with the surface to be treated should be checked and the surface cleaned before use.After application, the solution must be left to act for 5 minutes and the area must be completely wetted.The application rate is 40 to 50 milliliters per square meter.It should be well ventilated after use.The safety waiting time has been reached when the surface is odorless.If used frequently, protective gloves should be worn.This product works effectively against bacteria, yeast fungi and enveloped viruses.

Additional notes

Isopropanol 70 biocide / GMP does not have a sporocidal effect and should not be used for instrument disinfection of medical devices.The product should be stored tightly closed and protected from light and heat.

Liquid and vapor are highly flammable.The product may cause serious eye irritation and may cause drowsiness and dizziness.

Notes for biocidal applications

Isopropanol 70 biocide / GMP is a hand disinfectant (PA 1) that has bactericidal, yeasticidal and limited virucidal effects.For hygienic or surgical hand disinfection, at least 3 milliliters of the solution should be massaged into previously washed, uninjured and dry hands using the standard rub method according to EN 1500 for at least 30 seconds or according to EN12791 for at least 90 seconds, without rinsing afterwards.

Safety instructions

The product must be kept out of the reach of children.It should be kept away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other sources of ignition.Do not smoke.

If you come into contact with your eyes, they should be rinsed gently with water for a few minutes.Any contact lenses that may be present should be removed if possible.Continue rinsing.

The contents and container should be taken to an approved waste disposal company or a municipal collection point.
