Instructions for use of the article HydroClean compresses 8 x 14 cm oval sterile HydroClean dressings are oval sterile wound dressings that deliver Ringer's solution to the wound for up to three days. Excess wound exudate is absorbed through interactive and continuous wound irrigation. The SAP contained in HydroClean inhibits proteases that disrupt wound healing, which can restart the healing process in chronic wounds. The dressings are particularly suitable for moist therapy of wounds with limited healing tendency and for the treatment of chronic and poorly healing wounds in the cleansing and granulation phase. They can also be applied to infected wounds. In addition, they can be used to reactivate stagnant healing processes if these are caused by increased activity of proteases.
