Directions for use of ThermaCare heat pads for localised pain: ThermaCare heat pads are effective for muscle and joint pain caused by muscle tension, overexertion, strains and arthritis. Before use, consult your doctor if you suffer from diabetes, circulatory disorders, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis or during pregnancy. Stop use and consult a doctor if you experience irritation, burning, swelling, rashes or other persistent changes in the skin, or if pain persists or worsens for more than 7 days. Please note that you should not use the heat pads if the heat cells are leaking and/or the pad is damaged. It is also not recommended to use them together with medicinal liniments, plasters or other types of heat. Do not use the heat pads on diseased, injured or damaged skin, on bruises or swellings that have occurred in the last 48 hours, on areas of the body without heat sensation, on the face or head, on the chest, inside of the arm or armpit, fingers, lower abdomen, groin, back of the knee, feet or toes. In addition, people who cannot remove the product themselves or follow the application instructions, e.g. children or some elderly people, should not use the product. It is important to note that heat-generating products can cause burns. The risk increases with age. People over the age of 55 should not use ThermaCare while sleeping. The heat cells contain iron powder, so you should consult a doctor immediately if you swallow them. In case of skin or eye contact, remove the pad, rinse the affected area with water and consult a doctor immediately. Keep the product out of the reach of children and pets. Never heat the heat pad in the microwave or attempt to reheat it as this may cause a fire. The heat pads should be worn for up to 8 hours and should not be used more than once in 24 hours.
