Information

Sinolpan® forte 200 mg gastro-resistant soft capsules are a medicinal product containing the active ingredient cineole.It is used to treat symptoms of bronchitis and respiratory tract infections associated with the common cold.It also serves as an adjunctive treatment for chronic and inflammatory respiratory tract diseases, such as sinusitis.

No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and excipients

The gastro-resistant soft capsules contain 200 mg of cineole as the active ingredient.Excipients include Eudragit L 30 D-55, gelatin, glycerol 85%, glycerol monostearate 40-55, sodium dodecyl sulfate, phospholipids from soybeans, polysorbate 80, propylene glycol, sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystallizing), sorbitol, and medium-chain triglycerides.

Contraindications

Sinolpan® forte 200 mg gastro-resistant soft capsules must not be taken in cases of allergy to cineole or any of the other ingredients, or in cases of whooping cough or pseudocroup;use is also contraindicated in infants and children up to the age of 12.

Dosage and administration

Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older can take Sinolpan® forte 200 mg gastro-resistant soft capsules.The recommended dosage is 1 capsule 3 times daily; in persistent cases, 1 capsule 4 times daily may be taken.For continued or long-term treatment, 1 capsule twice daily is generally sufficient.

The capsules should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water, 200 ml) that is not too hot, ideally half an hour before meals.If you have a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take the capsules with meals.

Information for patients

Particular caution is advised in cases of conditions involving marked hypersensitivity of the airways.In cases of bronchial asthma, treatment should only be carried out under medical supervision.A doctor should be consulted if symptoms persist or if shortness of breath, fever, or purulent/bloody sputum occurs.

No special precautions regarding the ability to drive or operate machinery are required.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

There are no scientific studies available on the use of Sinolpan® forte 200 mg gastro-resistant soft capsules during pregnancy.Pregnant women should use the medicinal product only after consulting their doctor.

Due to the fat-soluble properties of the active ingredient, passage into breast milk cannot be ruled out.Breastfeeding mothers should also use the medicinal product only after consulting their doctor.

Notes

Sinolpan® forte 200 mg gastro-resistant soft capsules contain sorbitol and phospholipids from soybeans.The medicinal product should not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
