Cellacast Xtra bandage is a thin, light and strong synthetic support bandage for secure stabilisation. It consists of a rigid glass fibre carrier and is used for immobilisation after fractures, operations and orthopaedic corrections. In addition, it can be used for the treatment of joint and bone disorders and as a longuette to reinforce circular bandages. The cast is adaptable to any body contour, air permeable and radiolucent. It can be cut when uncured and can be applied with standard examination gloves. The setting time is 2.5 - 5 minutes after activation with water and the dressing is loadable after 30 minutes. The recommended immersion water temperature is 20 - 24°C. The product composition consists of a glass fibre knit impregnated with polyurethane resin.
