Home test Pregnancy Early is an immunoassay that is used to qualitatively determine hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in urine.This test allows early detection of pregnancy and can be used both professionally and at home.The test is based on an immunochromatographic technique.

The test cassette consists of a membrane with an absorbent pad that overlaps a strip of fiberglass paper.This strip contains lyophilized colloidal gold particles and monoclonal phase antibodies to hCG.Another absorbent pad at the end of the test strip absorbs excess liquid.The urine sample is placed on the test cassette, flows through the absorbent pad and then reaches the side of a chromatographic membrane.

Once the liquid reaches the membrane, the urine sample dissolves the lyophilized conjugate.In a reacting sample, the hCG antigen binds to the antibodies in the colloid solution.The conjugate flows across the membrane and anti-hCG monoclonal antibodies fixed on test zone "T" bind the hCG-gold conjugate complex, creating a pink line in test zone "T".All samples produce a pink line in the control field "C", which is caused by the binding of the polyclonal antibodies (anti-mouse IgG) fixed on the control region to samples of the colloidal gold conjugates.The appearance of the control line confirms that the test has been carried out correctly.An hCG concentration of 10 mIU/ml can be detected in just 5 minutes.

Instructions and safety

Read the entire instruction manual carefully before starting the test.Pay attention to the position of the "T" and "C" lines.Do not use the test after the expiration date printed on the bag.Do not use the test if the bag is torn or damaged.The test may not be reused and should be disposed of in the trash after use.Do not touch the test membrane.The test cassette should be used immediately after opening the foil pouch, as prolonged storage in a humid environment can cause damage.Treat the urine sample and the test components used as if they were harmful and avoid skin contact.Make sure you have a urine cup handy before starting the test.Keep the test out of the reach of children.
