The Contour Next Blood Glucose Monitoring System is specifically designed to measure blood sugar levels in people with diabetes, whether they are being treated with insulin or not.It helps patients and healthcare professionals monitor the effectiveness of blood sugar control.The system is suitable for self-monitoring of blood glucose in both venous blood and fresh capillary whole blood collected from the fingertip or the heel of the hand.It is used exclusively for in vitro diagnostic use and should not be used to diagnose or screen diabetes mellitus or in newborns.Measurements at alternative measuring points such as the palm of the hand should only be carried out when the blood sugar level is stable and does not change quickly.The Contour Next sensors are intended for the quantitative measurement of glucose in venous blood and fresh capillary whole blood.The measuring device measures the glucose content in whole blood in the range of 0.6 mmol/L to 33.3 mmol/L.
