Systane Ultra eye lubrication drops are a sterile solution specifically designed to moisten the surface of the eye in cases of dryness, burning, stinging and foreign body sensation.They are also suitable for rewetting soft contact lenses, including silicone hydrogel contact lenses.The eye drops offer quick and long-lasting moisturization and are easy to use thanks to the handy Drop-Tainer® bottle.

Area of application

Systane Ultra eye drops are used to relieve symptoms of dry eyes such as foreign body sensation, burning, watery, tired or painful eyes, visual disturbances, redness of the conjunctiva and swollen or sticky eyelids.Because they are compatible with contact lenses, the eye drops can be used before, during and after wearing the contact lenses.

Mode of action

Systane Ultra eye drops have nano-droplet technology that prevents the tear film from evaporating too quickly.This temporarily relieves dry eye symptoms such as burning and irritation.The HP-guar (hydroxypropyl guar) contained in it crosslinks all wetting-active substances into a viscoelastic network that stabilizes the tear film and improves moisture retention.

The ingredients of Systane Ultra eye drops are: polyethylene glycol 400, propylene glycol, hydroxypropyl guar, sorbitol, aminomethyl propanol, boric acid, potassium chloride, sodium chloride and purified water.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.

Dosage

Systane Ultra eye drops can be used as needed during the day.It is recommended to place 1-2 drops in the affected eye or eyes and then blink.The product should be shaken before use.

Patient information

Temporary blurred vision and other visual impairments may affect your ability to drive or use machines.If your vision becomes blurred after the instillation, you should not drive or operate machines again until this impairment has subsided.The product should not be used if the solution is discolored or cloudy.

Notes

Systane Ultra eye drops should be kept out of the reach of children.They should be stored at temperatures between 15°C and 30°C and protected from light and moisture.After opening, the eye drops can be used for 3 months.

Application

Hold the bottle directly under the cap and twist it off.Before using for the first time, hold the bottle at an angle of approximately 90 degrees and let a drop of the product drip out unused.Shake the bottle down vigorously to remove any remaining product from the tip.Put 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye or both eyes and blink.After use and before closing the bottle with the cap, shake the bottle down vigorously to remove any remaining product from the tip.Avoid touching the bottle dropper tip with surfaces to prevent contamination.Seal the bottle.
