Vomex A 50 mg oral solution in a sachet is used to prevent and treat motion sickness in adults and children weighing 30 kg or more. It contains the active ingredient dimenhydrinate and is taken without water. The first dose should be taken at least half an hour before the start of the journey. The recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 14 years of age is 50 mg to 100 mg (1-2 sachets), three or four times a day. For children and adolescents between 6 and 14 years of age weighing 30 kg or more, the recommended dose is 50 mg (1 sachet), three times daily. The total daily dose should not exceed 400 mg of dimenhydrinate for adults and adolescents over 14 years of age or 150 mg of dimenhydrinate for children and adolescents between 6 and 14 years of age. It should be taken after meals to minimise stomach irritation. The package leaflet should be read before use. People who are hypersensitive to the ingredients should not use the medicine.
