Vomex A® solution 12.5 mg for children is pre-dosed and practical to take with you.Ideal for on the go or when traveling.It is taken without water and the preparation is vegan, lactose and gluten free.It is suitable for children weighing over 10 kg and has a sweet tutti frutti taste.

Nausea can have various causes, be it on the move, due to migraines, a gastrointestinal infection or hormonal fluctuations.Vomex A® works against nausea and vomiting with the active ingredient dimenhydrinate.The effects begin within 30 minutes and last up to six hours.

Dimenhydrinate works directly in the vomiting center of the brain.It blocks histamine receptors so that signals that trigger nausea and vomiting are not transmitted.This means that the histamine cannot work and the nausea subsides.

Active ingredient of Vomex A® 12.5 mg children's oral solution in a sachet: 2.5 ml each (1 sachet) dimenhydrinate 12.5 mg.

Other ingredients: Propylene glycol 200 mg, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate 1.25 mg, sucrose 1200 mg, saccharin sodium 2-water, sodium cyclamate, tutti frutti flavor, amaranth 0.125 mg, sodium chloride, purified water.

Area of application

Vomex A® 12.5 mg children's oral solution in sachet is used to prevent and treat motion sickness in children weighing more than 10 kg.

Dosage

The dosage of Vomex A® 12.5 mg children's oral solution in the sachet depends on the child's body weight:

Children over 10 to 15 kg: 1 sachet 1 - 4 times daily

Children over 15 to 20 kg: 2 sachets 1 - 3 times daily

Children over 20 to 25 kg: 2 sachets 1 - 4 times daily

Children over 25 to 30 kg: 3 sachets 1 - 3 times daily

The first dose should be taken at least half an hour before the start of the trip, preferably 1 to 2 hours before.Another dose should be taken at least 6 hours after the previous dose.The preparation should be taken after meals to minimize stomach irritation.

Higher dosage forms are available for children over 30 kg and adults.The specified upper dosage limits must not be exceeded.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, this product should not be used.

Patient information

No prescription is required for this product.Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you have a sugar intolerance, liver or kidney problems, low blood levels of potassium or magnesium, slow heart rate or certain heart diseases.The preparation should be taken after meals to minimize stomach irritation.You should not consume alcohol or medicines containing alcohol during treatment.

Elderly people should tell their doctor before taking this supplement if they have a history of constipation, dizziness or drowsiness, have prostate problems, or have Parkinson's disease.Children under 2 years of age should not take this medicine.Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or breast-feeding unless your doctor tells you to.

Dimenhydrinate can cause drowsiness.Drinking alcohol or taking medicines that contain alcohol can increase this effect.Caution is advised when driving or operating machines.

Contains sodium, amaranth (85%) (E123), propylene glycol, sucrose and methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (Ph.Eur.).Store drug out of reach of children.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
