Product features

FRONTLINE Tri-Act is a spot-on dog skin solution specifically designed to protect against ticks, fleas and flying insects such as sand flies, biting flies and mosquitoes.The product has both a repellent and killing effect against these parasites and can also be used to prevent flea allergy dermatitis if previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.

Areas of application

FRONTLINE Tri-Act is used in dogs to treat and prevent flea and/or tick infestations when a repellent effect against sand flies, biting flies and/or mosquitoes is also required.

Fleas

The product treats and prevents flea infestations with Ctenocephalides felis and prevents flea infestations with Ctenocephalides canis.One treatment prevents a new flea infestation for 4 weeks. FRONTLINE Tri-Act may also be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis.

Ticks

The product treats and prevents tick infestations with Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus.It kills ticks and has a repellent effect against ticks for 4 weeks after treatment.The repellent effectiveness against Dermacentor reticulatus begins on day 7 after treatment and lasts for up to 4 weeks.

Biting flies and sand flies

FRONTLINE Tri-Act has a repellent effect against sand flies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) for 3 weeks and against mosquitoes (Culex pipiens, Aedes albopictus) for 4 weeks.It kills sand flies and mosquitoes for 3 weeks and reduces the risk of infection with Leishmania infantum for up to 4 weeks.

Biting flies

The product repels and kills the common biting fly (Stomoxys calcitrans) for 5 weeks.

Dosage for each animal species, type and duration of use

FRONTLINE Tri-Act is used to be applied topically to the skin.The pipette size depends on the weight of the dog.Dogs over 60kg require a combination of two pipettes of the appropriate size.

Active ingredients and other ingredients

The solution for spotting on the skin contains the active ingredients fipronil, permethrin and butylhydroxytoluene (E321).The exact amounts of active ingredients vary depending on the pipette size.

Instructions for correct use

The application is unsuitable if dogs and cats live in the household at the same time.Choose the pipette size that is appropriate for the dog's weight and apply the product to two areas that the dog cannot reach.Remove the pipette from the packaging, cut off the tip and apply half of the contents to the back of the neck, midway between the base of the skull and the shoulder blades.Repeat this process at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades.

Special storage instructions

Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and do not store it above 25°C.Keep the product in the original container and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the box.
