OlyGrippal Day & Night is a medication for the short-term symptomatic treatment of nasal and sinus congestion that occurs along with cold and flu symptoms such as pain, headache and/or fever.It is used specifically for cases in which these symptoms make it difficult to fall asleep in the evening.The product is suitable for teenagers aged 15 and over and adults.No prescription is required for this product.

Mode of action

OlyGrippal Day & Night offers 24-hour help against cold and flu symptoms.It consists of two different tablets with different combinations of active ingredients for day and night.The daily tablets relieve nasal and sinus congestion, headaches, body aches, sore throats and fever.The night tablets help with a runny nose, headache, body aches, fever and cough.Taking it is uncomplicated and easy to use.

The active ingredients in OlyGrippal Day & Night are as follows: White day tablets contain 500 mg paracetamol and 60 mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride per tablet.Blue night tablets contain 500 mg paracetamol and 25 mg diphenhydramine hydrochloride per film-coated tablet.The other ingredients of the daily tablets are pre-gelatinized corn starch, povidone, crospovidone, stearic acid, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium and magnesium stearate.The night tablets contain microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, sodium starch glycolate, pregelatinized corn starch, hydroxypropyl cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, stearic acid, magnesium stearate and a coating with methyl cellulose (Methocel E5) and Opaspray M-IF-4315B, which contains indigo carmine (E132), titanium dioxide (E171) and propylene glycolcontains.

Contraindications

OlyGrippal Day & Night should not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients mentioned.Please read the package leaflet carefully before use.

Dosage

Adolescents aged 15 and over and adults can take one white daytime tablet (morning, midday and afternoon) and one blue nighttime tablet up to three times a day before going to bed.The tablets are for oral use only and should be taken with a glass of water.It is important to follow dosage instructions carefully and not take more than the recommended dose.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine if you are taking other medicines containing paracetamol, have liver or kidney problems, have prostate problems, suffer from epilepsy, have clogged arteries or veins, suffer from haemolytic anemia, are being treated for a thyroid disease, are alcohol dependent, have a body weight of less than 50 kg, suffer from malnutrition or dehydration, acute generalized pustular diseaseExanthema (AGEP) occurs in combination with pustules or suffer from cardiac arrhythmias.During use, reduced blood supply to the optic nerve or sudden abdominal pain or bleeding in the rectum may occur.In such cases you should stop taking it and consult a doctor immediately.The night tablets can make you tired and the day tablets can cause dizziness.In such cases you should not drive a car or operate machines.This medicine contains pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, which may give positive results in doping tests.
