HydroGalen acute 5 mg/g is an anti-inflammatory cream for short-term use in inflammatory, allergic or itchy skin conditions of moderate severity. The cream contains the active substance hydrocortisone and has an anti-inflammatory effect, relieving itching, redness and swelling. It should be applied thinly to the affected skin areas, 1-2 times a day for a maximum of two weeks. Extensive application should be avoided. In children under 6 years of age, treatment should be used with restraint and should not last longer than 14 days. HydroGalen acute 5 mg/g must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients or in certain skin diseases such as fungal infections, herpes, acne or skin tuberculosis. Pregnant women should not use the medicine in the first trimester of pregnancy. Side effects may include hypersensitivity reactions of the skin, such as burning. The medicinal product should be protected from heat and stored at room temperature after opening/preparation.
