Accu-Chek Instant offers a simple and convenient way to measure blood sugar.The device has a large illuminated display that allows the measured values to be clearly read.The intuitive color scale helps to quickly understand the results.The wide blood application area makes it easy to apply the blood sample, and the eject button ensures hygienic disposal of the test strips.

Features

The Accu-Chek Instant device offers numerous functions that make blood sugar measurement easier.It displays the time and date and can store up to 720 blood glucose readings and 30 functional check readings.The average values can be calculated for 7, 14, 30 and 90 days.The device switches off automatically after a function check after 90 seconds and after removing the test strip after 15 seconds.

The device warns of hypoglycemia (LO <10 mg/dl bzw. 0,6 mmol/l) und Hyperglykämie (HI > 600 mg/dl or 33.3 mmol/l).Data evaluation can be done using the Accu-Chek Smart Pix software and mySugr.An intuitive color scale with preset target ranges for blood glucose levels at 70 - 160 mg/dL (3.9 - 8.9 mmol/L) is also integrated.A protective film allows you to touch the test strip.

Measuring principle

The Accu-Chek Instant device can be used with different sample types such as capillary blood, venous blood, arterial blood and neonatal blood.It only requires a small amount of blood, approximately 0.6 μl.The blood sample can be taken from various collection sites such as the fingertip, the heel of the hand, the forearm, the upper arm, the calf and the thigh.

The measurement method is electrochemical and the calibration takes place in plasma.The measurement technology is amperometric and the measuring range is between 10-600 mg/dl or 0.6-33.3 mmol/l.The measurement time is less than 4 seconds.The chemistry is based on FAD-GDH (FAD-glucose dehydrogenase) and there is no maltose interference.
