Vitaprompt® B12 1000 micrograms film-coated tablets - help with vitamin B12 deficiency
Do you often feel exhausted, notice that your stamina has decreased or do you have difficulty concentrating? These symptoms may indicate a deficiency of vitamin B12, also known as cobalamin.Such a deficiency can lead to serious health problems in the long term. That's why it's important to recognize it early and treat it properly - so that you feel fit and full of energy again.
Vitaprompt® B12 1000 microgram film-coated tablets contain high-dose vitamin B12, which helps you quickly get the symptoms under control and master everyday life with new energy. These film-coated tablets have a high dose of 1000 µg vitamin B12 and support physical and mental performance. They are lactose-free, easy to use and suitable for long-term treatment.
Understanding vitamin B12 deficiency: know the causes and take symptoms seriously
Vitamin B12 is absorbed through food and is essential for our health. However, adequate nutrition is not always guaranteed. In such cases, supplementation with vitamin B12 preparations such as Vitaprompt® can provide important support.
These symptoms indicate that your body is lacking vitamin B12: persistent tiredness or exhaustion, paleness, reduced performance, shortness of breath, racing heart, numbness, muscle weakness, impaired balance, concentration or memory problems, headaches and depressive moods. It is advisable to have these symptoms clarified by a doctor in order to then initiate appropriate therapy.Treatment with high doses of vitamin B12 is often recommended to correct the vitamin B12 deficiency so that you feel fit, healthy and full of energy again.
Who is particularly at risk?Risk groups for vitamin B12 deficiency
Everyone should keep an eye on their vitamin B12 levels and watch for symptoms that may indicate a deficiency. However, some people are particularly at risk of developing vitamin B12 deficiency. It is important to know your own risk in order to act in a timely manner.
Older people: At an advanced age, around one in four people is affected by a vitamin B12 deficiency. It develops gradually when too little vitamin B12 is consumed in food over the years. In addition, the body's ability to utilize vitamin B12 from food decreases because the production of the stomach acid necessary for this decreases.
Vegans and vegetarians: Since vitamin B12 is mainly found in animal products such as meat, fish and eggs, people who follow a vegan or vegetarian diet are at increased risk of vitamin B12 deficiency.Vegans often consume less than 10% and vegetarians less than 50% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin B12, which increases the risk of vitamin B12 deficiency with these diets.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women: There is an increased need for vitamin B12 during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as not only the mother but also the child must be supplied with this vitamin - initially in the womb and later through breast milk.Adequate vitamin B12 intake is crucial for the health of mother and child.
People with previous illnesses and/or increased alcohol consumption: Illnesses such as chronic inflammatory stomach or intestinal diseases, celiac disease or incorrect bacterial colonization of the intestine can affect the absorption of vitamin B12.Increased alcohol consumption can also negatively affect vitamin absorption and lead to a deficiency.
Taking certain medications: Certain medications, such as proton pump inhibitors to treat heartburn and stomach ulcers or metformin for type 2 diabetes, can inhibit the absorption of vitamin B12.Therefore, long-term use of these medications in particular can influence the risk of vitamin B12 deficiency.
That's why high-dose vitamin B12 is so important for your health!
In the case of a vitamin B12 deficiency, the principle “a lot helps a lot” applies.Only when there is a high concentration of vitamin B12 in the intestine does sufficient diffusion pressure arise, which ensures that vitamin B12 can pass through the intestinal wall effortlessly. This means the body can compensate for a deficiency even if its absorption capacity is limited. It is therefore advisable to take high-dose preparations with at least 600 micrograms of vitamin B12 if you have a vitamin B12 deficiency.
