Bisolvon cough tablets are a bronchosecretolytic that is used to loosen mucus in acute and chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs with thick mucus.This includes respiratory diseases such as coughing.

The active ingredient in Bisolvon cough tablets is bromhexine hydrochloride.Each tablet contains 8 mg bromhexine hydrochloride.The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, corn starch and magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Bisolvon cough tablets must not be used if you are hypersensitive to the active ingredient or any of the other ingredients.Caution is advised in the case of stomach or small intestinal ulcers, impaired self-cleaning of the lower respiratory tract, severely reduced kidney function and impaired liver function.The medicine is not suitable for children under 6 years due to the high active ingredient content.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents over 14 years of age take 1 to 2 tablets 3 times daily, equivalent to 24 to 48 mg bromhexine hydrochloride per day.Children and adolescents between 6 and 14 years of age and patients weighing less than 50 kg take 1 tablet 3 times a day, corresponding to 24 mg bromhexine hydrochloride per day.For children under 6 years of age, medicines with a lower active ingredient content are available.

Intake

The tablets should be taken after meals with plenty of liquid.The duration of use depends on the type and severity of the disease and should be decided by the treating doctor.The medicine should not be used for longer than 4-5 days without medical advice.
