Sidroga® cough and bronchial tea
The Sidroga® cough and bronchial tea contains a carefully balanced mixture of thyme, marshmallow root, ribwort plantain, Icelandic moss and licorice root.These medicinal drugs have been used for coughs for years.Marshmallow root, plantain herb and Icelandic moss contain mucilage that relieves the urge to cough.Thyme makes coughing easier thanks to its essential oil content.
This traditional herbal medicine is used to loosen mucus and relieve irritation in coughs associated with colds.It is registered for this area of application solely due to long-term use.

Ingredients of Sidroga cough and bronchial tea filter bags: thyme, marshmallow root, ribwort plantain, Icelandic moss, bitter fennel, licorice root.
1 Filter bag (2.0 g each) contains: 0.7 g thyme herb, cut;0.5 g marshmallow root, chopped;0.3 g ribwort plantain leaves, cut;0.3 g licorice root cut;0.2 g Icelandic moss, chopped.Other components: none.
Contraindications
The preparation must not be used if you are allergic to thyme or other mint plants, ribwort plantain, marshmallow root, licorice root or Icelandic moss.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the instructions for use or exactly as discussed with your doctor or pharmacist.Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
The recommended dose is: Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over drink 1 cup of tea 3 to 4 times a day, prepared from 1 to 2 tea bags per cup (3 to 8 tea bags in total per day).
There are no sufficient data for specific dosage recommendations for impaired kidney/liver function.
It should not be taken for longer than 7 days without medical supervision.The user should consult a doctor or other qualified person working in a healthcare profession if symptoms of the disease persist or if side effects other than those mentioned in the instructions for use occur.Medicines containing licorice root should generally not be used for longer than 4 weeks.
Symptoms of overdose have not yet been reported.Cases of overdose symptoms have been reported following long-term use or consumption of large quantities of licorice root.These correspond to the side effects described.If you observe any side effects, please notify your doctor.This can decide on any necessary measures.
Continue use according to the dosage instructions.Do not use a double dose if you forget the previous dose.

Intake
To drink after making a tea infusion.1 to 2 filter bags are poured with approx. 150 ml of boiling water and left to steep for 10 to 15 minutes.Then gently squeeze the bag(s) and remove them.

If you take the tea, you should avoid consuming foods containing licorice root (e.g. licorice) at the same time, as side effects such as a reduction in serum potassium levels in the blood, high blood pressure and cardiac arrhythmias can occur.
If you have high blood pressure, liver disease, severe kidney dysfunction, cardiovascular disease or low serum potassium levels in your blood, as you are more sensitive to licorice root-related side effects.You should see a doctor.
There are no sufficient studies available for use in children under 12 years of age;the application is therefore not recommended.
There are no studies on the effects on the ability to drive and use machines. No evidence of an influence has been reported from previous use of the preparation.
