Instructions for use of Salus Valerian drops

Salus valerian drops are a herbal medicine that is used to calm restlessness and nervous-related problems falling asleep.The active ingredient is a tincture of valerian root.No prescription is required for this product.

Salus Valerian drops are used for nervous restlessness and difficulty falling asleep, which are primarily caused by nervousness.

Application and dosage

The following information on use and dosage applies unless your doctor has prescribed otherwise.Please follow the dosage instructions so that the medicine works properly.

To calm down, take a teaspoon full (approx. 1.5 ml) of Salus Valerian drops 2 to 3 times a day.If you have trouble sleeping, take a teaspoon full (approx. 3 ml), diluted with a little water, half an hour before going to bed.If the effectiveness is not sufficient, you can also take a teaspoon before dinner.

The medicine is intended to be taken orally.You should not use the medicine for longer than two weeks without medical advice.If you have long-lasting or recurring symptoms, you should consult your doctor.

Composition

100 ml of liquid contains the active ingredient 100 ml tincture of valerian root (1:5), extractant: ethanol 70% (V/V).Other components are not included.

Mode of action

The ingredients of valerian root have an anti-anxiety, calming and sleep-inducing effect.They also relax the muscles.The valerian plant is a perennial with pinnate leaves and a strong-smelling root that is found in Europe and Asia.The main ingredients are iridoids (valepotriates) and essential oil (bornyl acetate).Mainly extracts and tinctures of the dried root are used.

Contraindications

Salus Valerian drops should not be used if you are hypersensitive to the ingredients, in children under 12 years of age, during pregnancy or breastfeeding.If the medicine has been prescribed for you despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Side effects

There are currently no known side effects for Salus Valerian drops.If you notice any discomfort or change during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

Store the medicine away from heat and in the dark.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton and container.Keep medicines out of the reach of children.

Important notes

The ability to react can also be impaired when used as intended, especially in higher doses or in combination with alcohol.Pay particular attention when driving or operating machines.The medicine contains alcohol and therefore poses a risk for people with liver disease, alcoholics, epileptics, brain damage, pregnant women, breastfeeding women and children.
