Folgamma tablets are a preparation that contains the active ingredients folic acid and cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12).This medicine is used to treat proven folic acid and vitamin B12 deficiencies that cannot be corrected through diet.It is also used for malabsorption of these vitamins for various reasons.Folic acid is essential for blood formation, the production of red and white blood cells, and the growth and reproduction of cells.Vitamin B12 supports the effect of folic acid, which is why it makes sense to consume it together.A deficiency of these vitamins can lead to increased homocysteine levels, which is considered a risk factor for various diseases.

How are Folgamma tablets used?

Always take Folgamma tablets exactly as your doctor has told you.The usual dose is one tablet once a day for proven combined folic acid and vitamin B12 deficiency that cannot be corrected through diet.If there are problems with folic acid and vitamin B12 absorption, one to two tablets can be taken three times a day.The tablets should be taken whole with a little liquid before or with meals.They have a score line and can be split to make swallowing easier.The duration of treatment depends on the course of the underlying disease and should be discussed with your doctor.

What Folgamma tablets contain

The active ingredients are folic acid (1.5 mg) and cyanocobalamin (25 µg).The other ingredients include polyethylene glycol 20,000, stearic acid, talc, magnesium stearate, calcium hydrogen phosphate, glucose, cellactose 80 (75% lactose monohydrate and 25% cellulose powder).Contains glucose and lactose.

How to store Folgamma tablets?

Keep Folgamma tablets out of the reach of children and do not store the medicine above 25°C.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the blister and carton.The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
