Contraindications

Dosage

To prevent drug-induced folic acid deficiency, the recommended dose is 1-5 mg daily or 5 mg once weekly.For methotrexate treatment, you should take the dose 24 hours after taking methotrexate.For the prevention of neural tube defects in unborn babies in women known to be at risk, the recommended dose is 5 mg daily from at least 4 weeks before conception until at least 12 weeks afterwards.
