Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in Folic Acid AbZ is folic acid, with each tablet containing 5 mg of this active ingredient.The other ingredients include lactose monohydrate, talc, cellulose powder, colloidal silicon dioxide and magnesium stearate.

Dosage and application

Always take Folic Acid AbZ exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you.The recommended dose is 1 to 3 tablets per day, equivalent to 5 to 15 mg of folic acid, as needed.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the dose should not exceed 1 tablet per day (5 mg folic acid).

The tablets are taken whole with meals with a little liquid.The duration of treatment depends on the extent of the folic acid deficiency and is determined by the doctor.

No serious side effects are expected in the event of an overdose, except in patients with seizure disorders who may show an increased tendency to convulsions.At very high doses over a long period of time, gastrointestinal disorders, sleep disorders, agitation and depression can occur.

Contraindications

Folic acid AbZ must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to folic acid or any of the other ingredients.If you have anemia with enlarged red blood cells (hyperchromic anemia), the medicine should also not be used as it can mask a vitamin B12 deficiency.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking it to receive individual recommendations.

Side effects

Possible side effects include allergic reactions, skin redness, itching, bronchial spasm, nausea, circulatory failure due to an allergic reaction, sleep disorders, agitation, depression and gastrointestinal disorders.If you notice any discomfort, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

Keep Folic Acid AbZ out of the reach of children and do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging.Store the product in its original packaging to protect it from light and moisture.
