Active ingredient and composition

Each tablet contains 5.0 mg of folic acid as the active ingredient.The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, talc, cellulose powder, highly dispersed silicon dioxide and magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.).

Dosage and application

The recommended dose is 1 to 3 tablets per day, depending on your needs, corresponding to 5 to 15 mg of folic acid.The tablets should be taken whole with a little liquid during meals.The duration of use depends on the extent of the folic acid deficiency and is determined by the doctor.

Contraindications

Folic acid biosyn must not be taken if you are allergic to folic acid or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.Before treating megaloblastic anemia, it must be ensured that it is not due to a vitamin B12 deficiency.
