Instructions for use of hemorrhoidal suppositories

Areas of application

According to anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature, hemorrhoidal suppositories can be used for internal and external hemorrhoids, skin tears (fissures), inflammation of the anus (anitis), inflammation in the rectum area (proctitis) and itching of the anus (pruritus ani).

Active ingredients and composition

One suppository contains the following active ingredients: 20 mg ethanolic extract from Aesculus hippocastanum, Cortex sicc.(Drug to extract = 1:1), extractant: ethanol 96%, purified water (6.3:40.7), 10 mg ethanolic extract of Hamamelidis folium sicc.(Drug to extract = 1:1), extractant: ethanol 30% (m/m), purified water (1.4:4) and 8 mg Stibium metallicum praeparatum.The other ingredient is cocoa butter.

Application and dosage

Hemorrhoidal suppositories are inserted into the rectum.At the start of treatment you should use one suppository twice a day, after defecation and before going to bed.Once improvement has occurred, using one suppository in the evening is sufficient.Treatment of acute illnesses should be completed after two weeks.If you have a chronic illness, you should coordinate the duration of treatment with your doctor.

Precautions and contraindications

Hemorrhoidal suppositories should not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, if you are under 12 years old, during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.Blood in the stool or bleeding from the intestinal anus area should always be checked by a doctor.If symptoms persist or are unclear, you should consult a doctor.

Side effects

Rarely, hypersensitivity reactions may occur.In this case you should stop using it and consult a doctor.If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

Store the suppositories in the folding box to protect them from light.Do not store the suppositories above 25°C.With cocoa butter, crystallization can occur, which is harmless and does not affect its effectiveness.
