Area of application

Haenal acute is a cream for the treatment of hemorrhoids.It is used externally and contains the active ingredient quinisocaine hydrochloride, which has a local anesthetic effect.The cream is used to relieve burning and itching in the anus area.If there is no improvement after a week of daily use, a doctor should be consulted.

The cream contains 5 mg of quinisocaine hydrochloride per gram. Other ingredients include glycerol 85%, polysorbate 60, methyl (4-hydroxy) benzoate (E 218), propyl (4-hydroxy) benzoate (E 217), cetyl alcohol, sodium monohydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, white petroleum jelly and purified water.

Contraindications

Haenal acute must not be used if there is an allergy to the active ingredient quinisocaine hydrochloride, the preservatives methyl (4-hydroxy) benzoate (E 218) and propyl (4-hydroxy) benzoate (E 217) or any of the other ingredients.Its use is also contraindicated for heavily bleeding hemorrhoids.

Dosage

Depending on the symptoms, the cream should be applied 1 to 2 times a day in a strand length of around 1 cm.It should not be used for more than one week without interruption without medical advice.If symptoms persist, a proctologist should be consulted.There are no known special consequences in the event of an overdose.Forgotten applications should not be compensated for by a double dose.

Intake

The cream is used on or in the anus.Before use, the anus area should be cleaned with lukewarm water and a soft cloth, avoiding rubbing.The cream is then carefully applied.

Patient information

The cream must not be applied to large areas or near the eyes.The safety of condoms can be compromised.Children and adolescents should only be used after consulting a doctor, as there is insufficient experience.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the cream should only be used if the doctor considers it necessary.No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive and use machines.

Pregnancy

There are no data on the use of Haenal acute during pregnancy or breastfeeding.It should therefore only be used if the doctor considers it necessary.A doctor or pharmacist should always be consulted before use.
