Instructions for use of Sikapur Gel

Sikapur Gel is a traditional medicine for external use.The active ingredient is silica gel with precipitated, disperse colloidal silicon dioxide.The gel also contains chlorhexidine bis (D-gluconate) as an additional ingredient.

Areas of application: Traditionally used for localized skin irritations, such as minor burns and scalds, small sunburn, minor injuries (e.g. razor burn) and pimples.This information is based solely on tradition and many years of experience.

No prescription is required for this product.

Application and dosage

Sikapur Gel should be applied 2-3 times daily to the irritated skin areas.The gel should be shaken well before use.A larger amount than recommended should not be used as there are no known symptoms of overdose.If an application is forgotten, the application should be continued as usual.Interrupting or prematurely ending treatment is usually harmless.

Special Notes

Sikapur Gel must not be used if you are allergic to silicon dioxide or chlorhexidine bis (D-gluconate).The medicine is not suitable for use in children and adolescents as its safety and effectiveness in this age group have not been proven.

Storage

Keep Sikapur Gel out of the reach of children and do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging.After opening the tube, the gel should be stored in the refrigerator (2°C - 8°C) and used within 4 weeks.
