Hawthorn juice contains 70 ml of pressed juice from fresh hawthorn leaves with flowers (1: 0.63 - 0.90) as well as hawthorn fruit pulp and water as other ingredients.

How to take hawthorn juice?

Adults take 10 ml of pressed juice three times a day before meals, undiluted or with a little liquid, preferably water.To do this, use the included dosing cup and shake the bottle before use.Hawthorn juice is not suitable for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Dosage and instructions for use

The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.You can dilute the juice with water or tea.The duration of use depends on the type of symptoms and/or the course of the disease.In principle, the duration of use is not limited in time, so that the drug can be used for a longer period of time.There are no known symptoms of overdose.If you forget to take a dose, continue taking it normally at the next scheduled time.

Contraindications

Hawthorn juice should not be used if you are hypersensitive to the ingredients.Children and adolescents under 18 years of age should not use the medicine.Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.If the medicine has been prescribed for you despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

How should hawthorn juice be stored?

Medicines should no longer be used after the expiry date.The expiry date can be found on the folding box and the container.After opening, the medicine can be stored in the refrigerator at 2 °C to 8 °C for two weeks.Keep medicines out of the reach of children.The medicine contains no preservatives and no alcohol.For diabetics: The medicine contains less than 0.1 bread units (BE) per 10 ml.

Mode of action

Many years of experience have shown that hawthorn juice can help with certain complaints.How the individual ingredients work has not yet been proven in scientific studies.

Notes

Hawthorn juice should be kept out of the reach of children.The daily recommended consumption amount should not be exceeded.Be careful if you are allergic to ascorbic acid (vitamin C).
