KORODIN® Drops are a herbal medicine that is used for circulatory disorders, impending fainting attacks and a drop in blood pressure.It is also suitable for long-term therapy.The active ingredients D-camphor and hawthorn berry extract have long been proven to treat hypotonic and orthostatic circulatory disorders.They can help to improve the condition of circulatory problems and a drop in blood pressure, reduce dizziness when standing up and make breathing easier.The effect begins after just five minutes, without increasing the heart rate or affecting other medications.No prescription is required for this product.

Area of application

KORODIN® Drops are used for the treatment of vegetative-functional cardiovascular complaints, hypotonic and orthostatic circulatory disorders as well as for supportive treatment when the heart's performance declines according to stage II to NYHA .They can alleviate attacks of dizziness when standing up after lying down for a long time and improve breathing and oxygen absorption.

Mode of action

Hawthorn berry extract promotes blood flow to the heart, which means it is better supplied with oxygen.The active ingredient D-camphor also has a blood circulation-promoting effect.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The drops contain 25 mg camphor and 973 mg hawthorn berry fluid extract, with ethanol 60% (V/V) serving as an excipient.In addition, 2 mg of menthol aroma is included as an excipient.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to D-camphor or hawthorn or any of the other ingredients of the preparation.It is not suitable for infants and young children up to 2 years old due to the risk of laryngeal spasm.Patients with bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases that are associated with severe hypersensitivity of the airways should also not use the product, as camphor can cause shortness of breath or an asthma attack.

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed, drip 10 undiluted KORODIN® drops three times a day onto the tongue or onto a piece of sugar, which you let slowly dissolve in your mouth.Alternatively, diabetics can drip the drops onto a piece of bread, which is chewed slowly.In case of attacks of weakness and impending collapse, take up to 10 drops every 15 minutes.The product should not be taken with water.

Intake

The drops can be taken on a piece of sugar that you let melt in your mouth or on a piece of bread (for diabetics) that you chew slowly.Alternatively, you can drip the drops undiluted onto the tongue if the medicinal taste does not bother you.The preparation should not be taken with water as the ingredient D-camphor is not water-soluble and can precipitate.

Patient information

Particular caution when taking the drug is required in children and adolescents.The preparation is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age due to the lack of data on safety and effectiveness as well as the alcohol content.There are no known impairments to the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

There are no data on the use of the drug in pregnant women.Taking the product is not recommended for pregnant women.It is not known whether components of the preparation pass into breast milk.A risk for breastfed infants cannot be ruled out.The medicine should not be taken by breastfeeding women.

KORODIN® Drops contain 60% alcohol by volume.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
