Instructions for use of Ringer's solution Freeflex
Ringer's solution Freeflex is an infusion solution that is used for the intravenous administration of fluid and electrolytes.It contains the active ingredients sodium chloride, potassium chloride and calcium chloride dihydrate.No prescription is required for this product.
Areas of application
Ringer's solution Freeflex is used to briefly fill the vascular system with fluid, to compensate for chloride losses and as a carrier solution for suitable electrolyte concentrates and medications.
Active ingredients and other ingredients
The active ingredients in Ringer's solution Freeflex are sodium chloride, potassium chloride and calcium chloride dihydrate.1000 ml of the infusion solution contains sodium chloride 8.60 g, potassium chloride 0.30 g and calcium chloride dihydrate 0.33 g.The other ingredients are water for injections, hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide.
Application instructions
Ringer's solution Freeflex should always be used exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor.If the metabolism is physiological, the recommended dose is continuous drip according to fluid and electrolyte requirements.The maximum daily dose should not be exceeded.The solution is administered intravenously.
Contraindications and precautions
Ringer's solution Freeflex must not be used if you are allergic to the active ingredients or other ingredients or if you are overhydrated.Particular caution is required in cases of increased potassium, sodium or chloride levels in the blood, heart failure, tissue swelling, fluid accumulation in the lungs, high blood pressure, severe renal impairment and eclampsia.The solution should be used with caution in cases of heart disease, kidney or adrenal weakness, and acute dehydration.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Ringer's solution Freeflex can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include increased blood chloride levels, fever reactions, injection site infections, local pain or reactions, venous irritation, venous thrombosis or inflammation, and extravasation.
Storage
Ringer's solution Freeflex should be kept out of the reach of children and not stored above 25°C.The infusion solution is intended for single use only and should be discarded after one use.
