What Otovowen is and what it is used for?
Otovowen is a homeopathic medicine that is used for complaints related to middle ear infections and colds.The areas of application are derived from the homeopathic drug images.No prescription is required for this product.
Active ingredients and ingredients
Otovowen contains various homeopathic active ingredients.10 ml of the mixture contains the following ingredients: Aconitum napellus Dil.D6 (0.075 ml), Capsicum annuum Dil.D4 (0.075 ml), Chamomilla recutita Ø (0.225 ml), Echinacea purpurea Ø (0.75 ml), Hydrargyrum bicyanatum Dil.D6 (0.075 ml), Hydrastis canadensis Dil.D4 (0.075 ml), Iodum Dil.D4 (0.075 ml), sodium tetraboracicum Dil.D4 (0.075 ml), Sambucus nigra Ø (0.225 ml) and Sanguinaria canadensis Ø (0.075 ml).The other ingredient is ethanol with a proportion of 43% (m/m).
Dosage and application
Otovowen should always be taken exactly according to the instructions in the package leaflet.In acute conditions, the medicine can be taken every half to an hour, but no more than 12 times a day.For chronic forms, the usual dose is 1-3 times a day.The recommended single dose is 12-15 drops for adults, 5-10 drops for children between 6 and 12 years of age and 4-7 drops for infants up to the age of 6.Infants up to 1 year of age should take 2-4 drops after seeking medical advice.The drops can be taken diluted with water.
Duration of application
Otovowen should not be taken for longer than 8 weeks unless otherwise directed by a doctor.When using homeopathic medicines, existing symptoms can temporarily worsen (initial aggravation).In this case, the medicine should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
Contraindications
Otovowen must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to any of the active ingredients or excipients or to composite plants.For fundamental reasons, this medicine must not be used in progressive systemic diseases such as tuberculosis, leukemia and leukemia-like diseases, inflammatory diseases of the connective tissue (collagenosis), autoimmune diseases, multiple sclerosis, AIDS-disease, HIV-infection or other chronic viral diseases.In children under 2 years of age, the medicine should only be used after consulting a doctor or under medical supervision.
