Instructions for use of pyrite/cinnabar tablets

Pyrite/cinnabar tablets are an anthroposophic medicine that is used for inflammation of the respiratory tract.These include inflammation of the throat mucosa, larynx and bronchi.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Pyrite/cinnabar tablets are used in accordance with anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature for mild inflammatory complaints of the respiratory tract.This includes inflammation of the pharynx, larynx and trachea.

Composition

Each tablet contains the active ingredients Pyrit Trit.D2 (20 mg) and Vermilion Trit.D20 (176mg).Other ingredients include lactose monohydrate, wheat starch and calcium behenate.This medicine contains lactose and wheat starch, which may contain traces of gluten.

Application and dosage

Always take pyrite/cinnabar tablets exactly as your doctor has told you.Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the recommended dosage for adults and children aged 1 year and over is one tablet once daily, which is allowed to dissolve in the mouth.

Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks.If there is no improvement within 2 to 5 days, you should consult a doctor.The duration of treatment for chronic diseases should be discussed with the doctor.

Precautions and warnings

Pyrite/cinnabar tablets must not be used if you are hypersensitive to wheat starch or any of the other ingredients or if you are an infant in the first year of life.

If you have a fever that lasts longer than three days or rises above 39°C, shortness of breath, purulent or bloody sputum, and persistent, unclear or new symptoms, you should consult your doctor.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, pyrite/cinnabar should only be used after consulting a doctor.

Side effects

Like all medicines, pyrite/cinnabar tablets can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Wheat starch can cause hypersensitivity reactions.

If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.This also applies to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.

Storage

You must not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the label and carton.
