Symbioflor® 1 is a probiotic medicine used to prevent recurrent respiratory infections.It contains live Enterococcus faecalis bacteria that modulate the immune system through the gut.These bacteria activate immune cells in the intestinal mucosa, which then travel via the bloodstream to the mucous membranes of the bronchi and paranasal sinuses and strengthen the local defense there.This helps reduce recurring inflammation, such as those that occur with bronchitis and sinusitis.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

Symbioflor 1 Suspension contains as an active ingredient a bacterial culture with Enterococcus faecalis bacteria (DSM 16440, cells and autolysate) corresponding to 1.5 - 4.5 x 107 living cells per 1.0 ml. 1 ml corresponds to 12 drops.

The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, cystine, sodium carbonate decahydrate, sodium chloride, magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, potassium chloride, calcium chloride dihydrate, magnesium chloride hexahydrate, purified water and Standard I nutrient broth (peptone from casein, dry yeast extract, sodium chloride, glucose monohydrate, purified water).

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, this product should not be used.If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before using this product.

Dosage

Shake well before use.Unless otherwise prescribed, adults take 30 drops 3 times daily.The dosage for children and infants should be adjusted accordingly, e.g. children 20 drops 3 times a day and infants 10 drops 3 times a day.Keep the drops in your mouth for a while and gargle with them before swallowing.

Symbioflor 1 Suspension should preferably be taken in the morning after getting up, at lunchtime before eating and in the evening before going to bed.The duration of use depends on the nature of the illness.In the case of chronic illnesses, the duration of use can be up to 6 months.

Intake

Shake well before use.This creates a slight cloudiness.The clearly perceptible, sometimes unpleasant smell of the solution is characteristic of the product and can vary in intensity.

Patient information

If any adverse reactions occur or if you become pregnant, please inform your doctor.The medicine is not suitable for the treatment of symptoms that occur in acute respiratory diseases.The preparation should not be taken during antibiotic treatment or within 5 days after its completion.There are no controlled studies in patients under 18 years of age and over 65 years of age.

The medicine has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, you should only take medication after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.
