Mode of action

Optiderm fat cream contains a unique active ingredient combination of urea (urea) and polidocanol.Urea is one of the best moisturizing factors and supports the skin's ability to bind water.It is often used as basic therapy for dry skin and is well tolerated as an endogenous substance.Polidocanol has a local anesthetic effect on nerve fibers that mediate itching and quickly relieves the torturous itching.The symptoms often disappear completely within a week.The skin barrier stabilizes and can resume its natural protective function.

100 g of cream from Optiderm fat cream contains the active ingredients urea (5.0 g) and macrogol lauryl ether 6.5 (polidocanol, 3.0 g).The other ingredients are: purified water, medium-chain triglycerides, thick paraffin, isopropyl palmitate, cetyl alcohol (Ph.Eur.), macrogol stearyl ether 21 (Ph.Eur.), butane-1,3-diol, sodium lactate solution, lactic acid, 2-[2-(Octadecyloxy)ethoxy]ethanol and sodium edetate (Ph.Eur.).

Contraindications

Particular caution is required when using Optiderm fat cream near eyes and mucous membranes.You should not let the cream come into contact with eyes and mucous membranes.When applied to damaged or inflamed skin, skin irritation such as redness or burning may occur.Please consult your doctor before using Optiderm on children.

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, Optiderm fat cream is applied evenly thinly to the affected skin areas twice a day.Make sure that the cream does not come into contact with eyes and mucous membranes and do not apply the product to acutely inflamed, weeping or infected skin.The duration of application depends on the clinical picture and is an average of three weeks.If the skin is persistently dry, the cream can be used over a longer period of time.
