Area of application

This fat cream is a medicine for the supportive treatment of skin diseases with itching and dry skin.It is used to regulate the moisture in the stratum corneum, to lubricate and relieve itching as a supportive treatment for skin diseases with dry and/or itchy skin such as atopic eczema (neurodermatitis), desiccation eczema (drying damage caused by detergents, etc.), as well as for further and follow-up treatment of the skin diseases mentioned.

Optiderm fat cream contains the active ingredients urea and macrogol lauryl ether 6.5 (polidocanol).100 g cream contains 5.0 g urea and 3.0 g macrogol lauryl ether 6.5 (Ph.Eur.) (Polidocanol).The other ingredients are: Purified water;medium chain triglycerides;thick paraffin;isopropyl palmitate;Cetyl alcohol (Ph.Eur.);Macrogol stearyl ether 21 (Ph.Eur.);butane-1,3-diol;sodium lactate solution;lactic acid;2-[2-(Octadecyloxy)ethoxy]ethanol;Sodium edetate (Ph.Eur.).

Dosage

Always use the fat cream exactly according to the instructions.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, you should apply the medicine evenly and thinly to the skin twice a day.The duration of application depends on the clinical picture and is an average of three weeks.If you have persistent dry skin, you can use the product over a longer period of time after consulting your doctor.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

For use on the skin.Apply evenly and thinly to the skin.

Patient information

Take special care when using the medicine near eyes and mucous membranes.You should not let it come into contact with eyes and mucous membranes.No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive or use machines.
